Amaranthus are a genus of erect or prostrate annuals or short lived perennials, having red, green or purple stems and large attractive leaves. Particular cultivars also having brightly coloured leaves, in shades of red, bronze, purple, or yellow. panicles of red, maroon, rose-pink, purple and gold flowers are produced from late summer and until early autumn.

Cultivation: -

Grow in a moist, well-drained, fertile soil, in a sunny position. Keep well watered during drought conditions.
