Anaphalis are a group of medium height upright or spreading perennials having woolly grey foliage and clusters of white flowers produced from mid-summer and until autumn, which are suitable for dried flower arrangements. 

Varieties: -

Anaphalis. margaritacea Clump forming bushy perennials
Height 24-30in (60-75cm) and Spread 24in (60cm)
Having lance-shaped, grey-green or silvery-grey leaves with white margins.
In late summer the plants produce erect stems bearing many heads of small white flowers

Dwarf bushy perennials
Height 8-12in (20-30cm) and Spread 6in (15cm)
Has woolly, silvery, stem, carrying lance-shaped leaves.
In late summer produces dense clusters of white flower heads.

Cultivation: -

Enjoys moist fertile soil in sun or semi-shade.

 

Propagation: -

By seed in autumn or early spring

By division in winter or spring
