Aubrieta

Producing mats or low hummocks of tiny evergreen leaves, obscured by pink, magenta, mauve, or purple flowers, Aubretia makes an excellent spring flowering ground cover plant, suitable for the border edge, the rock garden, crevices in walls and the gaps between patio-slabs.

Silver or gold variegated varieties continue to provide interest all year round.
