Bidens. ferulifolia
ASTERACEAE
Herbaceous Perennial

|
The most popular
garden Bidens is Bidens. ferulifolia, which has fresh
finely divided leaves and a succession of yellow, orange, or orange-red
flowers from mid-Summer to Autumn. Although it is a perennial plant, it
is most often grown as an annual. Its sprawling habit makes it
especially useful for growing in hanging baskets, pots and troughs where
it can fall to cover the sides of the container it grows in.
There are a number
of named cultivars of Bidens ferulifolia many of which have been awarded
the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
