Galega thrive in any moist well-drained soil, where they are provided with full sun or some shade.

They require some support, and are best grown at the back of the border.

To prevent self-seeding, cut back to ground level following flowering.

Propagation: -

Sow seed of species plants during Spring in pots placed in the cold frame. From seed that was sown early, the plants can flower quite strongly during the first year, however, it is not until the second year that the plants will prove their true potential.

Divide cultivars between Autumn and Spring.

Fully Hardy
